The
Mintex C-Tech range is now available for drivers who need the
assurance and confidence of high quality race and rally proven
pads. The Mintex C-Tech range has been especially researched,
developed and manufactured to meet the high level of stress
and temperature produced during braking by todays performance
cars. Drivers demand safety as well as speed. The Mintex C-Tech
range is fitted by many of the top race and rally drivers competing
today . They prefer C-Tech materials for consistent pedal feel
and stability which gives them greater braking control.

M1144
This is a low metallic resin bonded material made from steel
and acrylic fibres. Being the A/F version of M171 it is considered
the standard material for a number of events as well as remaining
suitable for heavy-duty road use (although there is the possibility
of some harshness in normal road use). It keeps a constant friction
level over a range of temperatures with the added advantage of
a high cold friction eliminating the 'dead feel' on the first
use.
Applications:
- Kart, Hill Climb, Club, National Rally, Single Seater Racing,
High Performance Road Vehicles.
Mintex
M1155
This is a low to medium metallic material using both ferrous and
nonferrous materials with a high temperature abrasive / lubricant
system. It is the A/F improved friction and wear replacement for
M200.
Applications:
- Group A& N, Loose Surface and Circuit.
Mintex
M1166
This is a medium metallic material with the same specification
as the M1155 material but with added inorganic compounds which
give it a enhanced friction level compared to M1155 but with the
same good wear rate.
Applications:
- Rally, Saloon / Sports Car Endurance Racing.
Mintex
M1177
This is a high metallic, organic based blend of ferrous metals
and high temperature abrasives, which allows it to be used at
high temperatures without any special bedding in procedure. It
maintains a high friction level with low disc wear.
Applications:
- Circuit Racing where sustained high temperatures are encountered.
F
Series
F1R
This is a high friction compound with very high initial torque
especially designed for high down force and / or high grip applications.
Typical
Applications: - CART, Group A International Rallying, Touring
Car.
F2R
This material has a lower initial torque than F1R and is most
effective for those classes with limited aerodynamic down force.
It provides increased pedal feel with improved modulation sensitivity.
Typical
Applications: - NASCAR, Touring Car rear, Group A International
Rallying.
F3R
A medium torque compound used as a rear brake application in
front wheel drive cars.
Typical
Applications: - NASCAR, Trans Am.
F4R
This material has similar characteristics as F1R but is designed
to bed in more easily.
Typical
Applications: - F3, Spots Car, Group A International Rallying.
